Overview

LOGISTICIAN (2024-20965)

Bowhead seeks junior and mid-level Logisticians to join our team in Crane, IN at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC Crane). The Logisticians must have extensive knowledge and on the job work experience with Logistics Support for the Small Arms Weapon Systems Division. The Logisticians will be responsible for the logistical process within operational, acquisition and wholesale environments. Working with minimal supervision, the Logisticians will prepare and implement directives to ensure effective support as well as establish and enforce standards to ensure the work force is properly equipped. These Logisticians will work as part of a team that develops, integrates and manages all logistics actions for the full life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and related equipment.

Responsibilities

Responsibiltiies Include:

  • The Logisticians will be responsible for the logistical process within operational, acquisition and wholesale environments.

  • Working with minimal supervision, the Logisticians will prepare and implement directives to ensure effective support as well as establish and enforce standards to ensure the work force is properly equipped.

  • Logisticians will work as part of a team that develops, integrates and manages all logistics actions for the full life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and related equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least one (1) to five (5) years of professional experience in integrated logistics support.

  • Must have prior experience supporting the Small Arms Weapon System Division at NSWC Crane.

  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds

  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement at this location
