Job Summary:
This role is responsible for managing customer deductions specific to areas impacting Cash Discount, Over/Short and Full Invoice. The expectation is to investigate the reason for the deductions and provide a detailed action plan to solve and reduce these areas of deductions. The expectation is to identity actions to drive change, leading to improvements that result in reduction of customer liabilities, by means of partnering with the appropriate internal and external business teams. In addition, this role will be responsible for assisting the Credit Team in creating process /proced ures in areas of sensitive or financial impact.
This position would be responsible for the following:
Interact and collaborate with multi-function al internal teams to improve P&L Impact
Drive and lead root cause investigations to find process improvements
Interact and collaborate with external partners to improve processes
-Partner with AR team to learn and create process/proced ure documentation
TASKS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITI ES
Day-to-day responsibiliti es
Research invoice related deductions, providing root cause and appropriate actions for resolution
Lead collaborative initiatives to identify root causes and implement preventive measures to reduce/elimina te
Analyze trends to change reduce deductions/cha nge customer bad behavior
Prepare weekly/monthly status reports/presen tations for Management
Prepare professional quality emails and spreadsheets for communicating with key internal and external teams on the status findings
Become expert in High Radius/SAP
Build relationships with Customer Supply Chain teams to better understand their retailer and collaborate on the action plans
Communicate effectively with multi-function al account teams
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Candidates must have received a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months OR must have graduated with a Master’s degree within the last 12 months. Degree in Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Finance, or other quantitative business discipline preferred.
0 - 2 years Experience in or exposure to Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting
Experience in SAP
Advanced skills in Excel, data software, Power BI a plus
Excellent analytical skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability and willingness to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Flexibility to work extended hours as required
Ability to present data to upper management in an organized and persuasive manner
Ability to work independently and make decisions
Ability to achieve results
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
Understanding when issues need to be escalated and provide summarized information to suggest/enable decisions
