Chemical Operator
Job Description
The Chemical Operator will follow prescribed formulas to manufacture various chemical products. The operator will be responsible for the operation of process equipment, tending or controlling units and systems that process chemicals into finished products. The role includes working in one of three departments: Liquid, Reactor, or Gas.
Responsibilities
Operate process equipment and control units and systems that process chemicals into finished products.
In the Liquid department, work with distillation processes to achieve a final liquid state, taking samples of the product and performing pH, titrations, and viscosity tests.
In the Reactor department, handle hazardous materials safely, mainly adding one chemical to another (compounding).
In the Gas department, work with fluoride to create a slurry/dry blend, mix products, and package them into drums.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of manufacturing
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Experience with mixing, blending, and testing chemicals
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ years of chemical manufacturing experience (preferred)
Ability to read and operate off batch sheets

Work Environment
The work environment includes two buildings: Building A (the gas/dry side), which works with fluoride to make a solid/slurry product, and Building B (the liquid side), which involves distillation processes. All employees must wear safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and long sleeves/pants to ensure safety.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.50/hr.
