Description
We are offering an employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Costa Mesa, California. This role will be critical in our team, with responsibilities including processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and monitoring customer credit accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications, ensuring all details are correct and up-to-date.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records, documenting all transactions and updates in a timely manner.
• Monitor customer credit accounts, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments, following company procedures and guidelines.
• Post cash received via ACH and lockbox, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Generate and post late fees, adhering to company policy and procedures.
• Generate invoices for overpayments received, ensuring accurate billing.
• Complete reapplication of cash tasks as needed.
• Research and post incoming checks, ensuring all payments are accounted for.
• Handle credit card payment postings and chargebacks, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Perform ad hoc projects as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Skills:
• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Commercial Collections, and Microsoft Excel.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Experience in Billing processes
• Knowledge of Cash Applications systems and procedures
• Familiarity with Commercial Collections practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in written and verbal form
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
• Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge as required by the job
• Possess high level of analytical and decision-making skills.
