Job Summary:

The Maintenance strategic project and finance lead will work closely with the Maintenance site lead to drive prioritisation for the Maintenance project portfolio to ensure that programs are appropriately resourced and implemented, delivering on their target outcomes.

This individual will report to the Maintenance site lead and will have significant scope, including involvement in financial planning cycle activities, supporting teams in budget submissions and financial approvals, as well as leading process improvements to drive project management maturity in the areas of financial / spend management, prioritisation, resourcing, and performance management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, monitor, lead and close out purchase orders in eMarketplace, ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures for the Department.

  • Lead departmental Opex and Capex budgets working closely with the Maintenance lead.

  • Support headcount and organisation discussions.

  • Troubleshoot any discrepancies pertaining to purchase orders, invoices and provide resolutions to ad hoc vendor queries.

  • Develop and Lead maintenance SLA's

  • Support the site Project Controls Lead in project financial management and reporting.

  • Provide support to the site PMO office during Business Planning cycles.

  • Keep management informed on project status by creating and maintaining spend reports.

  • Management of Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) process.

  • Work closely with the maintenance function to establish inputs to the LRFP.

  • Lead strategic Maintenance functional projects E2E.

  • Represent the team on key CSR initiatives.

  • Point of contact for MAM Apprentice program

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Third level qualification or proven experience (Finance or Accounting related subject area)

Required:

  • Strong Excel and Power BI skills are an advantage.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly collaborative manner and within a cross functional organization.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership for results and to and challenge the norm.

  • Personable and reliable with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Shown success in clearly and concisely communicating across all levels.

  • Experience in business case development, financial / business understanding is required.

  • Ability to prioritise and manage the workload and as the need arises, be able to handle shifting priorities based on critical deadlines so that business needs are always met.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Preferred:

  • Ability to work in ambiguity within a complex environment.

  • Experience with project and portfolio management systems and tools (Planisware, Power BI)

  • Experience in relationship development, conflict resolution, team building, and customer centric.

  • Project Management certification (FPX).
