Job Description

Key Responsibilities

This role will support the Technical Services group on site in Cork in actively managing the technical life cycle of products manufactured at the Cork site including:

Product Technical Support

  • Support the technical lifecycle of commercial products across the end-to-end value stream – by providing technical support for operations across Bulk, Primary and Secondary Manufacturing including:

  • Identifies new technologies to support site requirements

  • Supports qualification of new excipients and APIs to site.

  • Supports yield improvements on site

  • Writes and executes SOPs, protocols and reports.

  • Applies knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

  • Assists in the training of manufacturing technicians as needed.

  • Troubleshoots instrumentation such as particle size analyzers or other measurement devices used in material characterization.

  • Defines requirements for, and reviews master batch records.

  • Contributes to and may lead technical investigations of process deviations and assessment of their impact on product quality.

  • Contributes to and may lead complex processes across functions and interacts effectively with the other team members to ensure product meets regulatory, performance, and cost requirements.

  • Contributes to the completion of all technical support activities related to maintaining commercial product supplies.

  • Supports the technical transfer of new commercial products to site.

  • Manage systems and processes that support commercial product manufacture including: Continuous Process Validation program, API Qualification, CMC Program Support Complaint/Investigation Support.

Product Change Management

  • Manage technical implementation of changes to support existing commercial product across the value stream to ensure uninterrupted supply e.g. ICN Qualification,

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of manufacturing principles, concepts, industry

  • practices, and standards (i.e. SUPAC, PACPAC).

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrates ability to interact with senior management.

  • Demonstrates ability to participate in highly effective teams.

  • Demonstrates ability to think critically and creatively, be able to work independently, and to determine appropriate resources for resolution of problems.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and planning skills

  • Extensive experience with BS/MS or PhD degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
