If you meet the following requirements, we want to talk to you! High School Graduate or equivalent Excellent communication skills Ability to perform basic math Willingness to work in all weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Available to work overtime as needed with travel and overnight stays as required Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and comply with all applicable safety codes and requirements. You will learn how to: Operate survey instruments such as robotic total stations, data collectors, laser scanners, GPS, and other standard survey equipment Interpret construction plans and perform necessary calculations in the field and perform construction layout. Create legible and accurate field notes. Conduct field surveys, including topographic, boundary, and utility. Prepare survey sites and remove necessary obstacles. Lay out grids, determining horizontal and vertical controls. Set up, maintain, and operate all field survey equipment, vehicles, and supplies. Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan. At DLZ, we make taking care of our employees a top priority.
