Responsibilities The following duties are typical of the position but are not all-encompassing. A Typical Day Might Include: Provide engineering and 3D Revit support for multiple projects that include HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection. Perform HVAC load calculations, ductwork static pressure calculations, and pump head calculations. Performs utility studies and detailed phases of engineering work on major projects or total engineering work on projects of smaller or moderate scope. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard accepted methods. Innovate new solutions to challenges and effectively communicate changes to the team. May supervise and coordinate the work of less experienced engineers and designers and be responsible for checking a portion or all of the drawings completed on the project within the discipline. Engage in client interactions and contribute to business development initiatives. Engage with clients to outline project scope, update on project progress, and ensure client satisfaction. May write portions or all of the specifications and assist in or prepare total cost estimates. Performs design work on REVIT. Develop engineering concepts and presentations. Coordinates work with other disciplines. Keeps current on new design methods and ideas. Opportunity for travel, including extended on-site visits, to enhance project involvement.
