Job Summary

As a Senior Product Associate in Deposit 2.0 team , you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.

As a Senior Product Associate, you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions focused on modernizing our firm wide core deposit platform. The Deposit 2.0 team operates as an agile team within the Consumer Bank, sitting at the intersection of product, business and technology. This role will work cross-functionally to drive business outcomes while putting customer experience front and center. You will act as a product analyst and work with supporting products across the Firm to adopt interface and interoperability patterns, align product and modernization roadmaps and ensure readiness to develop interfaces related to Deposits 2.0. You will demonstrate experience in launching software products in dynamic, consumer-facing companies, passion for improving people's financial lives, the ability to craft and deliver creative solutions to challenging (but exciting) problems, then we are looking for you!

Job responsibilities

  • Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery.

  • Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience.

  • Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers.

  • Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality campaigns across the product development life cycle.

  • Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development.

  • Works with a team to maintain a comprehensive inventory of Deposits interfaces and help manage the master interface build and transition plan.

  • Helps establish interface and interoperability design patterns for the new Deposits ecosystem.

  • Establishes relationships with supporting partners to provide insight into upcoming changes and identify their interface requirements, risks, and impediments as early as possible.

  • Provides hands-on support with engineering teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle including defining business requirements, writing and maintaining Epics and Stories in JIRA, evaluating readiness and outcomes, and proceeding with additional iterations.

  • Ensures adherence to Deposits interface versioning and supportability strategies and standards.

  • Helps orchestrate supporting products' changes and transition to Deposits 2.0 interfaces and interoperability patterns.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area

  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle

  • Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition.

  • Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of product management or technology experience with a proven track record of launching and iterating on products with Agile delivery.

  • Working knowledge of online and batch interfaces, middleware, and data strategies within modern architectural contexts.

  • Customer-obsessed with a passion and penchant for building lasting partnerships across complex organizations and leveraging them to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Thrives with ambiguity. Can carve a path forward and act with urgency despite long delivery horizons.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in JIRA and other work management tools - especially those requiring data structure setup.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in the Retail financial industry including banking products, payments, or fintech experience a plus.

  • Prior experience with systems migrations or modernization a plus.
