Description

Position Summary:

The Closing Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Closing Department. This position ensures that communication between internal and external partners is open and flowing properly, solves problems within department as needed, works with managers and employees outside of the Closing department to ensure that loan files are closing on time, and reviews Closing team’s pipelines daily. The position works closely with Management and will develop written policies and procedures for new products and programs within the department. This position requires an individual who is highly organized, has the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team while ensuring that the department and company’s policies and procedures are followed.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversee day to day functions of department.

  • Support staff, support to meet deadlines.

  • Motivate employees to meet deadlines.

  • Responsible for overseeing the auditing of loan files in accordance with NFM Lending guidelines as well as Federal and State regulations to ensure the loan meets requirements.

  • Oversee the daily function of doc drawers, preparation of loan file for funding, and work with processing and underwriting to update issues that would prevent the loan from being sold to an investor or insured by an agency.

  • Manage Closing personnel, work allocation, training and problem resolution.

  • Develop and implement written policies and procedures for new products and programs.

  • Evaluate employee performance and motivate to achieve peak productivity.

  • Communicate with Title Companies, loan origination and processing on any issues that delay a loan closing.

  • Work with management team to implement new or revise current policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and maintain encompass for closed loans monthly to help provide accurate information to all departments. Ensures loan files are accurately adversed when a closing is not consummated. Responsible to remove closed dates and disbursement dates from Encompass and to return to a CTC milestone. Notification to Secondary, Title, and post- closing are required as well as accounting if loan noted as funded inaccurately.

  • Carry and maintain closing pipeline as needed.

  • Handle all doc preparation for Texas loan docs.

  • Handle review of loans file for final lender credit approval in accordance with NFM policy.

  • Confirm daily closings for secondary.

     

    Required Job Functions:

    Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare and submit production reports to management.

  • This position may require occasional overtime and travel.

  • This position will supervise one to thirty employees.

  • Additional tasks as assigned.
