Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in Columbus, Ohio for a proficient IS Technical Specialist II (Intermediate). The position primarily falls under the tech industry, offering the chance to work on cloud infrastructure design and management, CI/CD monitoring, and system analysis on AWS.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure/platform/services.
• Construct and maintain tools for CI/CD monitoring and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems.
• Administer and operate container platform or container services such as EKS or OpenShift Container Platform using containerization technology.
• Utilize IAC tools like Terraform for AWS environment setup, management, and configuration.
• Automate existing manual build & deployment procedures, including platform and infrastructure automation, through scripting.
• Collaborate with software engineering to establish infrastructure and deployment requirements.
• Work with Security and Compliance teams to implement best practices and automated controls for cloud and internal solutions.
• Conduct research and devise the monitoring, high availability, and support methodology for the production environment.
• Carry out infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.
• Stay informed about the latest application security developments and security trends to improve internal processes.
Requirements • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with different stakeholders
• Ability to document technical processes and procedures clearly and accurately
• Experience in maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Proficiency in conducting research to stay updated with the latest IT trends
• Familiarity with Human Resources (HR) Administration is a plus
• Capability to design and implement technical solutions to meet business needs
• Experience in the production of technical solutions, ensuring they meet specified requirements
• Knowledge of security protocols and practices in IT
• Proficient in networking, including setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting networks
• Experience with automation tools and techniques to improve efficiency
• Knowledge of optimization methods to enhance system performance
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
• Proficiency in Python programming language
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and their applications
• Experience in integrating different systems and platforms
• Familiarity with monitoring tools to track system performance
• Commitment to following best practices in IT operations and development
• Ability to conduct cost analysis to ensure cost-effective solutions
• Proficiency in deploying applications and systems
• Knowledge of R coding language
• Familiarity with Go programming language
