JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to drive the development of the rental services business for Ohio CAT. As Ohio CAT continues to grow their rental businesses, we will face different sets of challenges, which will require different types of support. This position will identify areas of improving operations and maximizing profitability, while providing the highest standard of customer service. To be effective, an Assistant Rental Store Manager must be willing to accept and assist in driving change. The Assistant Rental Store Manager must establish an understanding of the following objectives and accountabilities: Open branch for business prior to hours of operation each day. (7:00AM to 5:00PM). Assist Rental Store Manager with communication and follow up on equipment needs between Rental Coordinators and shop utilizing the service queue and link, ANSI report monitoring to provide jobsite contact information for field inspections scheduling swap outs as needed, assisting Rental Store Manager with COD/Dispute settlement and damage recovery efforts, as well as assisting with inventory reconciliation.

  • Must be a leader with great people skills, and enthusiastic personality.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Can teach job responsibilities and train.

  • Strong Organizational skills, and ability to coordinate programs and logistics associated with the programs.

  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

  • Three to five years in rental industry or equivalent (construction, engineering, and equipment distribution) required.

  • Previous key business management experience preferred.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the start-up procedures for a rental store, and working knowledge of operations, sales, service, and systems.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
