Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Columbus, Georgia
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Columbus, Georgia. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for performing data entry functions related to accounts payable and ensuring accurate coding of electronic invoices. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records.
• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner.
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take action to collect delinquent payments.
• Review and enter data into SAP from electronic invoices, ensuring correct coding.
• Identify and rectify any errors in invoice coding that could cause errors in SAP.
• Handle 50-75 invoices daily, maintaining meticulous data entry.
• Use skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, and Data Entry to perform job duties.
• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP in daily tasks.
• Process invoice data without requiring prior experience in SAP, as it's primarily data entry. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP).
• Experience in check runs and coding invoices.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Familiarity with invoice processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
• Experience with Oracle and QuickBooks is desired.
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to continue building skills through education opportunities.
