Actalent Chemical Process Engineer in Columbia, Tennessee
Actalent is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer near Columbia, TN. This role will be helping improve the efficiency of the chemical manufacturing process, as well as work on capital projects. This is a full-time position with great work-life balance and long-term growth opportunity.
Responsibilities:
· Streamline the manufacturing process and make it as efficient as possible while maintaining product quality and adhering to internal protocols and external regulations.
· Understand multiple manufacturing processes and select appropriate instruments to monitor and control the necessary variables.
· Develop and design concepts .
· Choose a controller and ensure proper communication between actuators connected to the controller.
· Simulate, install, test, and manage electrical or mechanical automation.
· Analyze data on process parameters and product properties to detect process deviation and implement remediation in a timely manner.
· Monitor automation processes on an ongoing basis.
· Promotes and works in a team-oriented environment.
· Assures a safety-first attitude which includes all facility safety work instructions and maintenance, good housekeeping of areas where work is performed, and in all maintenance areas.
· Adjust parameters in the process to make improvements as well as improve process flow.
· Other assigned tasks.
Requirements:
· BS in Chemical Engineering is preferred
· 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing in a Process Engineering/Manufacturing type role
· Strong ability adjusting and creating processes.
· Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests .
· Experience in heavy industrial environment would be a bonus .
