UNITED CREDIT UNION Teller in COLUMBIA, Missouri

**Teller 1---

Department: Operations

Reports to; Branch Manager/AVP Operations

Role:** To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments, to include scanning, updating and closing member accounts.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

E 55% Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdraws and loan payments; sells money orders and cashier checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. E 10% Balances cash drawers and daily transactions. E 10% Welcomes members and provide routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service. E 10% Post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records. N 5% Any other duties as may be assigned.**

**Performance Measurements:

  1. To Provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members and coworkers.
  2. To comply with United Credit Union's cash balancing policy.
  3. To strive for posting accuracy, having no more than one posting error per quarter.
  4. To Make a minimum of 5 sales referrals per month.
  5. To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
  6. To troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
  7. When not busy with members, evaluate what additional task need completed and help team members who could benefit from your assistance.
  8. To be knowledgeable on the features and benefits of all credit union products and services.
  9. To satisfactorily complete all required compliance training and comply with all regulations which apply within the scope of this position.

Knowledge and Skills**

Experience One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.

Education A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associated regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

Other Skills Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.

Role:** To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments, to include scanning, opening, updating and closing member accounts. Operation and knowledge of all teller equipment. To assist with training of others with all aspects of a teller position, including effective and consistent cross-selling.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

E 25% Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdraws and loan payments; sells money orders and cashier checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. E 25% Identify cross-selling opportunities, follow up with referrals and motivate staff to do the same. E 15% Welcomes members and provide routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department or specific information and service. E 10% Operation and knowledge of all teller equipment, from maintaining proper handling and cleaning, to understanding the operations side to ensure the machines are being used to its potential to service members effectively and efficiently. E 10% Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. E 10% Assist with end of the day procedures and vault balancing, as needed. If teller lead/manager is out you can step in and complete task mentioned with no interruption. N 5% Assist other departments, as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.**

  6. To assisting the training of others, all aspects of the teller job.
