To learn more, please visit www.ierustech.com/benefits Description: This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as a Network Security Engineer supporting a large Missile Defense Agency program. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and be responsible for, but not limited to: planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the network and operational sites; independently researching different networking and security-related topics and producing reports on the findings; ensuring that the teams’ devices are STIGs and hardened appropriately; running any and all Cyber protocols needed. Required Qualifications: • B.S. or M.S. in a related discipline; Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering. • Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification. • Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance. • Must understand the OSI Model, TCP/IP, VLANs, and UDP Multicast. • Must have Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto firewall configuration knowledge. • Knowledge of ACL design and function. • Hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching/routing (Juniper, Cisco). • An effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools. • Able to design security configurations and testing procedures. • Familiar with the NIST CVE framework. • Experience with virtualization. • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network and system engineers. • Intermediate knowledge of security design, development, and testing methodologies. • Experienced in the application of standard DOD security practices such as STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts. • Able to thoroughly document project design and development efforts. • Able to collaborate with other departments to explain network security requirements and compliance. • Able to learn security hardening basics for a wide range of niche products, software, and applications. • Able to summarize, brief, and recommend solutions to security issues to leadership. • Understand the basics of VMware and ESXi STIGing/Hardening. Desired Qualifications: • Top Secret clearance desired. • Scripting knowledge of Python, Ansible, and PowerShell • Solid understanding of JUNOS Location: Colorado Springs, CO The proposed salary range for this position is $77.9k - $128.7k. Salaries are commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications within the experience bandwidth, as well as market and business considerations.
