Position Description: Caliola builds secure and resilient solutions for mission critical solutions. We seek a full-stack software engineer that can develop the user facing elements of those solutions. Across our product portfolio, we are building graphical user interfaces (GUI) with a front-end tech stack that includes TypeScript, Vue.js, and Node.js. We use Tauri for desktop deployment and Ionic for mobile. As a full-stack software engineer, you will work with a team of developers located across the Front Range of Colorado. Once onboarded to Caliola, you will begin work with a team on one of our many full stack applications which include communication mission planners for the Navy, alternative position, navigation, and timing application, or a mesh VPN interface.

Essential Responsibilities: Develop front-end and back-end software to support the user facing elements of Caliola's products. Work with Program Manager and Technical Lead to define system requirements and architectures for contract milestones. Work with Program Managers and Technical Leads to translate requirements into individual Agile tasks (user stories). Work with the UX/UI team to communicate technical limitations and offer ideas to drive effective design. Define unit tests and end-to-end tests. Develop and maintain continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Develop and maintain GUI components in Caliola's design system. Proficient with agile development process encouraging build backlog, story writing, collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibili Ability to meet in person in Colorado Springs or Denver at least 5 days a month. Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What We Require: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. At least 2 years of proven experience as a full-stack software engineer, with expertise in front-end and back-end development. Proficiency in JavaScript (Vue.js, React, Solid, or Angular) and Node.js. Strong understanding of asynchronous programming models (promises, callbacks, etc.) Experience with server-side technologies (e.g., Java, Node.js, or Python). Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases. Experience with containerization and virtualization. Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab or similar. Experience with modern version control software (git). Strong technical communication skills and attention to detail are a must. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. Government. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
