Responsibilities
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical problems.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide accurate estimates for repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and tools.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper functioning.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic or Automotive Technician (formal training/certification is a plus).
- Solid understanding of automotive systems and components.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety and following established procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Schedule: Full-time position, approximately 48 hours per week. Flexible scheduling available.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid State driver's license with at least six months consecutive driving experience in Maryland or at least one year consecutive driving experience in any other state.
- Be a U.S. citizen; or non U.S. citizen with original employment authorization from INS; or Naturalized U.S. citizen (born outside the U.S.) with original Certificate of naturalization/U.S. passport.
- Possess a clean driving record with no more than 2 points.
