Leidos Civil Engineer in College Park, Georgia

Description

Leidos is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team.

In this role you will support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) supporting the implementation of critical power systems in air traffic control facilities.

This position is located in College Park, GA

Up to 25% travel

Civil Engineer Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize project planning program to analyze schedules of upcoming projects to determine a timeline for completing project risk plans (PRPs).

  • Review the project team list to ensure all necessary stakeholders are included as PRP members (risk team).

  • Prepare PRP scope statement and assemble other project information relevant to risk planning.

  • Develop preliminary risk and mitigation plans based on similar projects.

  • Coordinate and host PRP review meetings to review and refine risk and mitigation plans.

  • Perform site surveys to develop project scope and obtain site information.

  • Prepare drawings showing proposed construction/installation in existing or new facilities with specifications and dimensions.

  • Prepare final construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

  • Support construction activities by responding to requests for information, reviewing submittals and participating in pre-construction meetings and periodic inspections.

  • Perform various project management tasks including updating schedules and reporting project status to management.

Civil Engineer Basic Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineering degree from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

  • Four years of experience in design and construction of commercial or institutional facilities. Or a Masters degree and 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Current and relevant knowledge of building codes.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite

  • Ability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability

Civil Engineer Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to create and edit project drawings in AutoCAD.

  • Understanding of the National Airspace System components within an air route traffic control center (ARTCC)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
