Job Description Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is looking for a Senior Power Structuring Analyst to be part of PSE's transformative mission. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Job Responsibilities Perform analytical support to the origination team including financial analysis, economic valuation of projects and PPAs and financial structuring. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and continuously improve asset optimization, risk measurement and resource planning capabilities. Evaluate bids submitted to PSE Front Office voluntary RFPs. Work cross-functionally with teams across the organization including operations, trading, risk control, finance and regulatory. Forecast energy supply costs and prepare reports to support financial planning and regulatory filings. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the region's energy supply resources and operations and understand the impact of external factors on energy availability and commodity prices. Support WUTC rate case filings by preparing testimony and responding to (and initiating) data requests from external stakeholders. Maintain knowledge of portfolio risk exposure methods and calculations including emerging techniques. Communicate the impact of new and potential transactions and asset acquisitions on the risk profile of the energy portfolio. Develop and maintain model documentation consistent with policies governing control over model inputs and outputs, data integrity, quality, and security. Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. (Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or similar) Minimum 4 years work experience, preferably as a quantitative analyst in the energy industry Proficiency with quantitative methods and concepts including regression analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, scenario analysis, and stress testing Experience with financial analysis and familiarity with accounting principles Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel, including proficiency in writing macros and queries Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills Self-starter with the ability to work effectively without direct supervision in a fast paced, stressful, and multitasking environment Desired Qualifications 8+ years of energy industry experience, preferably in an analyst role Master's Degree in a quantitative field Experience in western gas and power markets Familiarity with regulated utility rate cases and state regulatory agencies/public utility commissions Knowledge of portfolio risk management principles Hands on experience building and operating quantitative models Progr
