JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a motivated and skilled Machine Operator to join our A2 team. This role requires an individual with experience operating high-speed, complex machinery within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production equipment while adhering to strict quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Operation:
Operate various types of machinery involved in the manufacturing process, including but not limited to automated assembly equipment, printing equipment, and automatic riveters.
Monitor machine performance as necessary to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
Answer alarms for equipment malfunctions and perform minor jam clearing.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures while operating machinery.
Follow detailed verbal or written instructions, including visual aids.
Verify incoming material for accuracy and store using FIFO (first in, first out) inventory system.
Maintain functionality of all production equipment using preventative maintenance measures.
Maintain 5S order and cleanliness in the assigned area at all times.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations, wear/ utilize all required PPE
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS /KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to calculate the quantity of parts to be prepped and ready for use at any time
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software
Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages
Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aids
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
High school diploma or equivalent is recommended but not required with mechanical ability and aptitude to follow instructions written and verbal
Experience in machine operation, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to machine operation.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed to support production schedules.
