[ General Purpose:]{.underline}

Under the direction of the Director, Human Resources, manage, track and oversee the recruitment process for positions at Judson (University Circle, South Franklin Circle and Home Care) per CCRC compliance rules and regulations, conducts reference and background checks and performs related HR duties as required. The Talent Acquisition Specialist conducts all organizational business and practices in accordance with Judson Retirement Community policies. 

 

[Essential Duties and Responsibilities:]{.underline}

  1. Ensures that positions are filled with individuals who meet the skills, abilities, experience levels and competencies required by the positions.  Also, the associate in this position is responsible for ensuring culture fit to improve overall retention at the organization. 
  2. Will work with hiring managers to determine staffing needs. Interviews and makes hiring decision recommendation for positions within assigned areas.
  3. Write and post internal employment opportunities and external advertisements as needed, utilizing Internet sites, newspaper ads, job fairs, school placement offices, government agencies, placement agencies, and open houses as appropriate.
  4. Conduct reference checks and criminal background checks as needed, to maintain compliance with CCRC rules and regulations.
  5. Monitor compliance of medical examinations, annual and pre-employment T.B. tests and substance screening.
  6. Identifies sources to market and network open positions at Judson, and builds relationships with organizations to create better pipeline of talent.
  7. Builds relationships and partnerships with community organizations and educational institutions to create pipeline of talent for open positions.
  8. Participates in HR department meetings.

Miscellaneous:  Maintains a record of acceptable attendance and punctuality.  Observes all company rules and safety procedures.  Other duties as assigned.

[Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:]{.underline}

  • At least 2 years college coursework toward a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or closely related field.
  • 2 -- 4 years recruiting experience with high volume recruiting.
  • Familiarity and exposure to working with and accountable to recruiting metrics.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and organizational skills required.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with Behavioral Interviewing concepts and technique.
  • Computer literacy required, including strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with some familiarity with HRIS.
  • Experience working with ATS system and process improvement.

     

[Physical Requirements.]{.underline}  Good vision and hearing. Ability to lift 20 pounds, bend, stoop, sit for 1-2 hours at a time, walk up stairs.
