Location: For Those Who Work At Home - Various, California 94121 On Call Senior Closer - Remote Job Description | Activities you focus on to perform day-to-day tasks The Closer/Sr. Closer plays a vital role in the successful completion of transactions in the Commercial Mortgage Group. CMG Closers must be fully accountable for all activities that fall within their area of responsibility and have the knowledge to quickly assess situations, identify issues and work toward successful resolution. Under the direction of the Closing Manager the Closer is responsible for the following activities: 1. Review the Term Sheet or Application to ensure you understand the deal or to determine if any provisions need clarification. 2. Attend all weekly client calls and take the lead on obtaining information needed to move the deal to a successful closing. 3. Follow up with the consultant on the status of the insurance review and keep it on track. 4. Review and approve all required closing due diligence. 5. Compliance must be completed on all transactions prior to closing, i.e., DARQ, MCA, BSBO, Beneficial Ownership. 6. Close all loans assigned to you that successfully receive credit approval, meeting the closing deadline and metric measurement. 7. Manage the legal and closing process by quickly identifying issues / concerns. Develops creative solutions and partners with sales/mortgage banker, underwriter and legal counsel to resolve legal and closing issues as they arise. Understands when to elevate issues/concerns to the closing manager, underwriter or mortgage banker. 8. Update the Loan Origination system for all assigned loans with current information and counsel assignment. 9. Utilize established and approved document repository for borrower due diligence when borrower consents. 10. Utilize the Loan Origination system for all activities that are supported by the system. 11. Learn the closing process and applicable job duties of the Closer position. 12. Assist other team members where possible. 13. Work collaboratively with internal team members and provide great client service to external team. 14. Act as back up for other team members. Take full ownership and provide the same level of service and accountability as your own deals. 15. Adhere to internal policies, laws, and regulations and complete all risk training on time. 16. Identify the risk specific to your role and follow defined procedures to mitigate the risk. 17. Identify and escalate risks prior to risk management, risk review, or third-party identification. 18. Complete any identified risk corrective action plans on time. 19. If applicable, align pricing and leverage capital to support business strategies and acceptable risk adjusted returns. 20. Maintain standards of professionalism, conduct business ethically, avoid conflicts of interest and act in the best interest of our customers and Key. 21. After funding, deliver the due diligence documents to Loan Servicing. 22. Complete the Agency website as needed. 23. Create and maintain the Closing Workbook as transaction moves forward leveraging the checklist as a means of tracking progress. Required Qualifications: (License, Certificates, Education Skills, etc.) 4-year College Degree or equivalent real estate business experience Strong solution-oriented and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented Strong aptitude for analysis, systems, and mathematics Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to operate and multi-task in a high volume, deadline driven environment. Strong planning and organizational skills PC proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn an hourly rate in the range of $75 to $100 per hour depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience.
