PPG INDUSTRIES, INC. Maintenance Manager in Cleveland, Ohio
As the Maintenance Manager, you will assure that the maintenance department staff has the necessary tools, training, and required resources to perform facility maintenance. You will also be responsible for our contractor and facilities management for projects and preservation of our equipment on site. You will bring the strategy to transform maintenance to an outstanding team, and industry-leading company PPG! You will report to the Plant Manager work onsite in Cleveland, OH. Main Responsibilities Lead all aspects of to improve plant key performance indicators, manufacturing/operational metrics, and being a technical resource to production personnel to ensure working conditions meet all safety requirements. Oversee and control costs of facility maintenance, including materials usage and overtime. Manage investigation for product quality problems, resolve root cause, assemble, and analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate cause. Maintain accurate inventory of all maintenance consumables. Supervisory position for maintenance employees. Delegates work assignments and tasks: monitors performance while providing feedback and recognition of results. Contractor management from a variety of vendors for special projects and work. Develop and manage training and growth plans for the maintenance lead and technicians. Management of MRO (Material Resources Office) and spare parts. Be a proactive leader that is autonomous, preventative, and predictive. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, engineering or equivalent technical experience developed through a maintenance career path with ten + years proven experience. 5 + years of management/supervisory experience in a maintenance and or facilities role. 5+ years experience in highly complex manufacturing environments and industries Technical knowledge on the following systems and equipment: Facilities infrastructure (HVAC, Electric Power distribution, compressed air, water, sewer and other plant utilities), ovens and, other processing equipment. Experience with standard work Implementation, reliability maintenance, and mechanical integrity experience.
