HR-Benefits Generalist - Position and Responsibilities As an HR-Benefits Generalist with Middough, you will partner with the HR corporate team on HR benefit management, HRIS system management, benefit/leave administration, HR reporting, and HR administration. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Coordinate benefits processing to include new hire enrollments, COBRA events, terminations, qualifying event changes, beneficiaries, and life/disability claims. Accurate and timely processing of employee benefit enrollments into the HRIS platform to provide insurance carriers/brokers with accurate eligibility and billing information. Accurate and timely processing of employee benefit changes into multiple HR systems. Handle and process FMLA requests, short/long term disability claims, general employee leave requests and employee accommodation requests. Assist in the management of benefit open enrollment (setup and process), provide timely employee support during open enrollment (annual, new hire), and present new hire benefit orientation. Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers regarding benefit programs, enrollments, status changes, policies, and other general HR inquiries. Assist with benefit invoicing, audits and assist with mandatory compliance reporting (ACA, EEO-1 filings, etc.). Be an integral player in the implementation of HR technology upgrades (HRIS, timekeeping). Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users. Manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users. Compile HR data and monthly reports for executives and HR. Support and be a champion of company' benefits and wellness initiatives. Maintain appropriate employee personnel and HR documentation per policy. As part of the corporate HR team, collaborate with all corporate functions and business units on joint initiatives. Education, Experience and Skills The successful candidate will possess the following: Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field. 8+ years of hands-on HRIS management required. 8+ years of hands-on benefit management and human resources experience required. Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Oracle, Epicor, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 helpful. SHRM's CP or SCP credential(s) helpful. Work experience in a professional, technical, or consulting environment helpful. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Highly effective and engaging verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills at all levels in the organization while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. High degree of integrity in adhering to corporate policy and within all HR activities. Strong ability to take initiative, be self-motivated, and meet deadlines. Excellent analytical, organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills. Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
