Working at our Clearwater Location: Clearwater is a provider of engineering, circuit card assembly, OEM Avionics, and MRO services to commercial and military customers, with

products and technologies that are diverse and highly sophisticated. Your work will contribute to systems that manage the performance of Boeing 737 and 787 aircraft as well

as F-18s, F-35s, Harriers, and Apaches. In addition to working in a facility awarded OSHAS’s highest safety rating, you will be part of a diverse team of 400+ employees,

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assembly operations on modules, circuit card assemblies, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.

  • Perform complex rework, soldering, wiring, and testing tasks using established procedures, schematics, and work instructions.

  • Assemble and solder components to meet customer specifications, including cable harness and wire work.

  • Conduct self-verification of work quality and inspect received CCA kits.

  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of soldering equipment and workbench.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in reading and comprehending technical work instructions and safety documents.

  • Minimum of 2 years of wiring and harness experience.

  • 1-4 years of soldering experience, with the ability to achieve J-STD class 3 and IPC-610 class 3 certification within 30 days of employment.

  • Capability to lift and move materials up to 35 pounds and work with hazardous materials and chemicals.

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

  • Skilled in prepping, routing, and soldering jumper wires, through-hole components, and SMT parts to class 3 requirements.

  • Experience in performing soldering and inspection activities using a 10X microscope.

  • IPC-610 and JSTD-001 class 3 certified.

  • Ability to select proper soldering iron tip sizes and correctly install components per work instructions.

  • Competence in preparing various component types, including trimming, forming, stripping, and hand tinning wires and parts.

Desired Skills / Experience:

  • Proficient in Computer Use: Skilled in using a personal computer to navigate online documents, drawings, and instructions.

  • Extensive Industry Experience: Minimum of 6 years of industry or related job experience, including 5 years in electronics.

  • Teamwork and Technical Expertise : Prior experience working in a team-oriented environment with desired IPC 7711/7721 de-soldering, rework, and repair skills.
