Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Cost Analysis : Perform detailed cost analysis for new and existing products, including material, labor, overhead, and other related expenses.
Budgeting : Assist in the preparation of product cost budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company financial goals.
Variance Analysis : Analyze variances between actual costs and budgeted costs – direct and indirect costs, identifying and investigating the causes of discrepancies.
Cost Reduction : Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.
Reporting : Prepare and present detailed cost reports and analysis to management, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Data Management : Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost data in the company's ERP system, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
Compliance : Ensure all cost analysis activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools; experience with Hyperion & ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus
Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
