Department of Transportation Engineering District 2-0 Fiscal Technician in Clearfield, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In your role, you will ensure the efficient utilization of financial resources in district 2 by monitoring and distributing accounting and budgetary information to administrative personnel at both the district and county levels. This support enables them to effectively operate their respective organizations and provide the best possible roads and bridges for the public in the Commonwealth of PA. 

As a Fiscal Technician, you will be responsible for performing advanced clerical-accounting tasks for the district fiscal unit, assisting with budgeting, procurement, and finance activities. Additionally, you will assist the district fiscal office and assistant district fiscal officer in preparing and executing complex financial documents, as well as processing financial adjustments related to the business plan, budget, and re-budget.

*Work Schedule and Additional Information: *

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after a 6-month probation period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Clearfield.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

 

*QUALIFICATIONS  Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:  *

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or

  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or

  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an Associate degree in accounting or business administration; or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
