Agri Partners Inc Sales Lead in CLEAR LAKE, South Dakota

Title: AP Select South Dakota Sales Lead *Summary: AP Select is a local, family-operated seed business. We are regionally focused to include South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska. The GM/Sales Lead will be at the forefront of driving sales growth and developing a dealer network for the AP Select brand. This position requires exceptional leadership skills to effectively manage a high-performing sales team and collaborate with senior management to develop and achieve sales targets and market expansion. This position will involve developing and executing strategic sales plans, cultivating strong customer relationships, and ensuring the successful AP Select Seed launch. The South Dakota Sales Lead will report directly to the CEO. *Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business objectives to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the sales team to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the sales teams skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and key customers to drive loyalty and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with marketing, finance, and management.
  • Monitor sales performance against targets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure sales/financial objectives are met.
  • Communicate openly and effectively with the AP Select team.
  • Work with agronomy services, product development, and production teams.
  • Interview, hire, train, and coach employees.
  • Appraise employee performance along with reward and discipline, as necessary. Address complaints and resolve problems by following AP Select policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

  • 10 years experience in agriculture management.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the agriculture industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
