Description

The Electro-Mechanical Engineer will design products and their corresponding manufacturing processes. The role will include transitioning product from design to manufacturing at scale, maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems while consulting with management. The Electro-Mechanical engineer will continue to provide product technical support throughout the products life cycle and evaluate electrical/mechanical systems, products, components, and applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Assists to design, develop, analyze, and document electromechanical systems to meet the functional, quality, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements as a part of Dynabrade’s new Product development.

· Supports project success by meeting schedule, budget, performance, and quality requirements.

· Detail oriented individual capable of creating project technical file documentation that includes drawings, engineering files, supplier communications, work instructions and Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s)

· Properly identify/debug/troubleshoot electrical issues during production builds and finding solid solutions

· Able to improve existing designs with cost effective solutions.

· Assist with the preparation and review of reports and proposals.

· Checks systems reliability, performance and safety by designing testing methods and procedures.

· Improve electrical products manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.

· Effectively use testing equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.) to identify and diagnose electrical issues.

· Assist with the evaluation of electrical systems, products, components, and applications in production.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Bachelor's degree or higher in Electro-mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience.

· Apply principals of mechanics, machine design, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and materials. Evaluate electro-mechanical systems and products by designing, testing, and conducting research.

· Work well with others, including being willing and able to do your part as well as wanting to help others when the need arises.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.

· Proficient in CAD software (Solidworks) for designing electromechanical systems and components.

· A desire to increase knowledge by learning new technology or processes.

· Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously and see through to manufacturing completion.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

· Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Salary Description

$65,000 to $80,000 per year
