Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented professional team member to join our team at Weinlander Fitzhugh's Clare Office. As a professional team member, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records for our clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records for clients using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Accounting CS).
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliation, including but not limited to bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
- Generate financial reports (e.g., income statements, balance sheets) as needed.
- Assist with payroll processing and prepare related tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and principles.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to resolve financial discrepancies.
- Support management with various accounting tasks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a professional team member or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent education (required).
