About SPM Oil and Gas

SPM Oil and Gas provides superior products and service solutions to Oil & Gas customers in upstream, production, transportation, refining and related industries. The team works hard to create lifelong customer relationships, supplying comprehensive product & service solutions for the Oil & Gas industry and setting the standard for excellence in the segment.

The Role

SPM Oil & Gas currently has opening for a Field Operations Technician. In this role, the Field Operations Technician provides installation of Flowline Safety Restraints (FSR) on customer locations and assists in the flow iron shop as needed. This position will also require the ability to drive a company issued vehicle.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform rig up operations of FSR on well site

  • Perform rig down operations of FSR on well site

  • Perform field greasing procedures for valves, swivels, and Large Bore product lines

  • Perform visual inspection of FSR restraints

  • Perform inventory responsibilities for FSR

  • Perform JSAs (Job Safety Analysis), POWRAs (Point of Work Risk Assessment) and location-based safety protocols as required

  • Perform Iron Technician Trainee responsibilities when necessary

  • Ensures proper care and maintenance of tools, trucks, trailers, and equipment at all times

  • Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Background / Skills:

3 to 6 months of related experience

Must have mechanical aptitude

Additional job requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Have a clean driving record, which generally means:

• No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months.

• No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
