Robert Half Accounting Clerk in City of Industry, California
Description
Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, processing invoices, and reconciling accounts.
Maintain accurate financial records by organizing and filing documents, such as receipts and invoices.
Prepare basic financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, under the guidance of senior accounting staff.
Assist in payroll processing by verifying timekeeping records and calculating wages.
Perform bank reconciliations and assist with the preparation of bank deposits.
Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions by processing payments and invoices in a timely manner.
Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions.
Assist with audit preparations by compiling documentation and conducting inventory counts as needed.
Adhere to accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in accounting or related field preferred.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Prior experience in an office environment or internship in accounting (preferred but not required).
