Prism is a base business function, leading E2E Cost of Goods sold improvements for the handheld Endomechanical and Energy business. A major focus of our team is to identify, prioritize, and implement Cost Improvement (CIP) opportunities.

The Senior Manager, COGS Portfolio Manager is a key member of the Prism Leadership Team, having overall responsibility to drive E2E CIP Ideation in all Supply Chain P&L areas. Additionally, this Manager will lead several Prism processes, including Intake & Prioritization, Value Prop development, handoff and partnership with other functional groups, and E2E Orchestration of EM&E CIPs across all pillars.

The candidate will have strong project and program management skills, be skilled in DMAIC/LEAN, and be effective in navigating tradeoffs between functional groups to achieve overall greater outcomes for EM&E GP improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the team Director and responsible to develop and manage the entire EM&E Cost Action and GP Improvement Portfolio to meet bold cost targets.

  • Lead E2E cost action orchestration across EM&E Pillars, optimizing the portfolio to achieve goals, focusing on cost impact, investment, complexity, and time to realization.

  • Enable effective tradeoff decisions between pillars, including resource and target transfers where needed.

  • Partner with Prism PMO to develop & deploy governance to enable critical metrics on cost actions and ensure attainment across pillars and the entire E2E SC.

  • Drive continuous improvement of the Cost Action Intake Process to manage effective prioritization, disposition, and handoff of cost actions.

  • Develop and maintain a Cost Action Ideation Playbook, leading organizational deployment and ownership of key processes and implementing a cadence of standard work aligning with the business planning cycle.

  • Align with the E2E Platform PMO & Value Stream Leads to build GP roadmaps by product family, identify gaps to target and work across the organization to close gaps.

  • Develop and define the master list of Cost Improvement projects, including business case, resources, project timelines, outcomes, and metrics.

  • Own E2E CIP multi-year pipeline development, enabling proactive continuous pipeline refresh.

  • Own EM&E cost structure transformational change process, identifying, valuing, and proposing substantial actions to fundamentally improve our GP.

  • Partner with Finance and Pillar leads to ensure accuracy of financial benefits, realization timelines, and management of risks.

  • Drive projects through CRC as needed, manage gCRAFT, Planisware, financial forecasting tracking and reporting for Prism Functional Budget in partnership with Prism PMO.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s and/or equivalent University Degree required; focused degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field is preferred. An Advanced Degree preferred

Required:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional work experience

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Finance or PMO

  • Entrepreneurial mind-set, able to navigate through ambiguity, think strategically, innovatively, and creatively to drive positive outcomes

  • Strong Project Management experience

  • Financial skills, including value proposition development experience

  • Lean or Six Sigma training

  • Green or Black Belt Certification

  • Ability to build a future vision and gain support and alignment to that vision

  • Proven capability working in a cross-functional organization and achieving results through relationships with internal and external partners

  • Strong analytical ability to develop insights from multiple sources of data

  • Understanding of financial processes such as P&L calculation and COGS (Cost of Goods)

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and influence decision-making across an organization

Preferred:

  • Master Black Belt Certification in Lean or Six Sigma

  • Exposure to a global environment in previous roles

  • Certifications in PMI/FPX

  • Medical Device industry experience

Other:

  • May require up to 25% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites.
