Registered Nurse (RN), Day Shift, Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF) 2 North UC Health is hiring a full-time RN for SNF 2 North, for the day shift at Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care. The RN will support Daniel Drake's 2 North department, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures. About Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care Daniel Drake Center specializes in providing post-acute and transitional care services for patients recovering from a catastrophic injury or illness. Daniel Drake Center is the only hospital-based skilled nursing facility in the Cincinnati region. With a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services including medically complex care, skilled nursing, assisted living, wellness services, and research, Daniel Drake Center offers comprehensive care continuum and a variety of services to help patients throughout their recovery.   • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Associate's Degree, minimum required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred
  • Current OH RN License

The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals. The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. The care is culturally based and age-specific.

Prepares, implements, evaluates, revises and coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care for each assigned patient in a collaborative effort with the other healthcare team members and patient/family within the time frame indicated by unit's standards of practice.

Communicates formulated plan of care, as appropriate, to all levels of associates involved in the patient's care, and demonstrates ability to establish priorities of care based on patient's assessment and needs.

Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment, and involves family/guardian in the assessment,
