UC Health Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Supervisor, Trauma Subspecialties in Cincinnati, Ohio
UC Health is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for Trauma Subspecialties, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
This 28 bed Unit consists of patient populations from many specialized surgical teams. Our patient population is admitted from the ER, SICU and PACU. Nursing care for the Trauma patient is concentrated around recovering from traumatic injury with focus on mobility, patient education, monitoring intake and outputs and pain management. Our surgical specialties include ENT and urology who are consistently nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report.
The Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor assumes the responsibility for ensuring excellent patient care is being delivered, maintaining expeditious patient flow with a focus on customer service, and supervision of nursing staff. The Clinical Shift Supervisor will provide input on staff evaluations and complete evaluations for their regular staff cohort. The Clinical Shift Supervisor will also assist with cost containment and manage all employees to do the same. The position requires knowledge of leadership and effective interpersonal communication skills.
