First Student HR Intern in CINCINNATI, Ohio

To be successful as an HR intern, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in employment laws and labor legislation. Ultimately, an outstanding HR intern should be detail-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills.

  • Intake of wage and discrimination claims from governmental agencies. Including notifying locations, creating files, and updating EEO database.

  • Assist with investigations of employee related concerns and work with management to ensure an appropriate resolution.

  • Communicate with internal and external business partners.

  • Receives and responds to inquiries concerning employee policies and procedures and other location functions.

  • Develop knowledge of human resources laws such as: FCRA, , ADA, EEO, I-9, e-Verify, and FLSA.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • In a human resource management program or studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field.

  • Familiarity with Workday software is beneficial.

  • Proven experience working in an office environment.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
