Job Duties: Lead R&D electromechanical (EM) manufacturing and process development activities for components and assemblies. Lead the qualification and transfer of the components/assemblies from New Products Development (NPD) to Outside External Manufacturing (OEM) suppliers. Define the manufacturing and process requirements for electromechanical components/assemblies to meet established cost, quality, and performance requirements. Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control. Plan and establish a sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization. Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards, and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product. Collaborate with design engineers (mechanical and electrical) to develop robust assembly designs for manufacturing. Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plans. Coordinate medical new product introduction at the Manufacturer site (Pilots, Engineering, and Qualification builds). Perform validation activities and product qualification at the supplier site.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in an Electro Mechanical Engineer-related occupation.
Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.
