Job Description

Serves as a computer technology expert for assigned functional applications to assist business lines with development and ongoing support within our Lockbox Operation Groups and our New Treasury Bonds Business . Provides project release direction and support including research, analysis, review, development, implementation and monitoring of new or revised systems. Acts as a liaison for project release and typically perform analysis supporting the strategies and objectives of the business line. Compiles and analyzes information that is very detailed and often interpretive making project release recommendations based on the findings. Interfaces with internal and external resources to ensure successful completion, installation and implementation in accordance with client needs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive assigned Projects / Process Improvement initiatives to completion in a high quality and timely manner.

  • As needed, document user stories for Agile Teams or Project requirements

  • Complete analysis to accurately assess projected effort vs. benefit of initiatives

  • Document and ensure timely and high quality completion of all related tasks

  • Anticipate and successful navigate potential problems

  • Engage other subject matter experts as needed

  • Complete additional testing and/or validation of test results as needed

  • Provide timely and thorough communication to all interested parties

  • Provide status updates with appropriate content for senior management

  • Follow change control processes

  • Quantify and report actual achieved benefits

Ideal Candidate

  • Comfort with Technology from a workflow and quality optimization perspective (Not a programmer)

  • Ability to learn from written documentation, without hands on experience.

  • This associate will need to develop a detailed understanding of system functionality and detailed workflow.

  • Error Analysis – Develop the ability to research errors, pinpoint source and make sound recommendations for permanent solutions.

  • Statistical Analysis – Develop an understanding of key factors impact productivity.

  • Superior problem solving skills

  • Associate must demonstrate good judgment in knowing their limitations and knowing when to seek additional knowledge to ensure that their analysis and recommendations are consistently sound.

  • Self motivated - Able to work independently and report to remote manager.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Individual will produce analysis artifacts and document recommendations for presentation to Lockbox Senior Management. They may also serve as a Requirements Lead, documenting requirements for medium to large Cap Ex projects. They may assist in documenting detailed Operational procedures, provide site support and occasional training.

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five or more years of direct experience (with project lead responsibilities), or eight or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting and making verbal and written presentations

  • Strong understanding and use of project management techniques and testing processes and supervises their use

  • Ability to develop test schedules, review testing plans, track test issues and report on test results

  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong project management, organization and analytical skills

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills

  • Effective leadership and negotiation skills

  • Thorough knowledge of a business line or function area

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $75,820.00 - $89,200.00 - $98,120.00
