JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Laser Operator will be responsible for set-up to ensure proper cutting operations, detecting any defective material, and perform quality inspection checks. Responsibilities Performing typical laser-cutting operations. Selecting proper cutting programs and fixtures. Making proper setups for cutting operations. Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, following prescribed safety procedures. Conducting quality inspections and checks according to quality documentation/control plans, including documenting results. Identifying different types of materials, including Aluminum, 5000 series Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Paint Grip, Galvanneal, and Galvanized. Learning and demonstrating continuous improvement for Safety and Quality standards and procedures. Meeting the standards of the site attendance policy. Representing core values: Drive, Integrity, Growth, Respect, and Innovation. Assisting in other work areas as assigned. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 1 to 3 years related experience in a metal fabrication setting; and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualifications The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence. Proficiency in basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The ability to read and interpret prints and work orders. Capability to handle fast-paced work environments.
