A rapidly growing Technology Solutions company is urgently hiring for a short-term System Administrator role in Chicago’s West loop. This organization prides itself on being at the forefront of advances in AI technology, leveraging their considerable experience and knowledge to automate complex systems. As their System Administrator, will have proficiency in SOC-2 and compliance software, Windows, Mobile Device Management and ticketing systems.
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Engineer to keep their skills sharp and make a meaningful difference while they continue their search for long-term positions. This position will require to use multiple tools within your skillset to maintain IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. This is a low time commitment position due to the short term nature of the contract.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in System Administration
2+ years of experience in IT Support
Experience in Mobile Device Management
Strong experience with SOC 2 compliance, Vanta a plus
Excellent infrastructure and device troubleshooting skills
Ability to document and report work in timely manner
Desired Skills & Experience
IT Certifications
Experience with Cloud Services
Scripting abilities using Bash or Python
Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown
50% System Administration (AWS, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Terraform)
30% IT Support (Active Directory, MDM, Office 365)
20% Compliance (SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPPA)
Daily Responsibilities
Fulfill any IT related support tickets in a timely manner
Manage device inventory and provisioning for laptops and cloud PC’s using MDM tools
Troubleshoot and maintain IT infrastructure and basic Network issues
Monitoring compliance via Vanta, handling remediation and maintaining secure access
Onboarding and offboarding users, fixing hardware and software issues on PC and desktops
