The Staff Integration Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the implementation, service, support, and maintenance of Clinical Decision Support (CDS) products.

This position is part of the Clinical Decision Support business unit located in Brea, CA and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Clinical Decision Support (CDS) business unit and report to the Sr. Director of Service, responsible for support and implementation of CDS tools.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Effectively communicate work products verbally and through internal and client presentations including the creating and updating development and implementation project plans

  • Support new product development efforts pertaining to EMR integration planning and testing by providing input as the Voice of Service and Support

  • Design and implement integration monitoring systems for continued quality assurance and ensure regulatory requirements are met (i.e. HIPAA)

  • Build connections (interfaces) using integration engines and lead EMR integration aspects of CDS product implementations and collaborate with the R&D team for product enhancements/changes that impact EMR integration and data management

  • Ensure integration processes are documented and periodically reviewed for continuous improvement and that each client EMR integration is validated and follows established Quality procedures for documentation

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Database Administration or a related field with at least 9 years of relevant experience.

  • Act as a technical touchpoint with customers providing support related to interface stability while monitoring and communicating the status of tasks and escalating issues when appropriate

  • Experience working with Product & Engineering to ensure interfaces are in sync with the core EMR product; design, develop, and QA interface engineering tickets

  • Experience supporting EMR integration standards such as HL7, FHIR, and SMART on FHIR and have experience with the following software applications and/or programming languages (i.e. SQL, JSON)

  • Must be willing to work off-hours as necessary, especially during integration/implementation.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • SQL Server

  • Microsoft Azure cloud

  • Interface engine (i.e. Cloverleaf, Rhapsody or another contemporary interface engine)

The annual salary range for this role is $120,000-140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
