Position Summary
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural decisions of our front-end applications. You will provide mentorship to your engineering counterparts and lead technical teams towards successful project deliveries. This role requires an expert-level understanding of web technologies, a strong leadership presence, and the ability to make strategic decisions that align with business objectives and the latest technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Lead and mentor teams of engineers to promote high-quality coding practices and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Drive the development and implementation of scalable, efficient, and robust technical solutions using Angular, React, and Typescript.
Make strategic architectural decisions, balancing long-term objectives with the urgency of immediate demands.
Front-End Architecture:
Design and develop front-end solutions using React, Angular, and TypeScript.
Leverage micro frontend architectural patterns to decompose monolithic front-end applications into smaller, more manageable pieces.
Ensure all front-end solutions are scalable, sustainable, and optimized for high performance.
Development and Innovation:
Innovate and keep the team updated with the latest industry trends in front-end technologies.
Collaborate with back-end teams to design API contracts.
Oversee multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timeline, scope, and budget.
Utilize agile methodologies to deliver projects, enhancing team agility and productivity.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
Extensive experience with front-end technologies including React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, and micro frontends.
Demonstrated experience in architectural decision-making and leading complex software projects.
Proven track record of technical leadership and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
Preferred Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a capability to evaluate trade-offs in technology and product development.
Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical concepts and collaborating with diverse teams.
Adept at working in fast-paced, agile environments.
