Actalent Interior Architecture Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Description:

  • Manages small and medium sized projects to completion, including work performed by internal and external resources

  • Manages overall client relationship from initial assessment of client needs, through design concept presentations and final delivery of project while ensuring positive client experience.

  • Coordinates with internal and external project teams to ensure compliance with design concept and timely completion of documents

  • Works with design and technical teams to shape and understand the design concepts

  • Will be presenting and working with client for approved design concept

  • Establishes and ensures adherence to set budget

  • Immediately informs Sr. PM or Project Director and/or client of any potential variances to the budget and makes appropriate modifications

  • Manages collections for assigned projects with client and informs Finance Manager if there is an issue with timely collections.

  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities with existing and potential clients

  • Will be assigning tasks, oversee work and provide feedback to staff assign to project

  • Will be managing and developing a team of 3 to 5 individuals

Skills & Qualifications:

  • US Accredited degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Design or equivalent required

  • Interior Design degree/experience will only be considered with full scope, architectural experience

  • 7 to 12 years of post grad experience

  • This does NOT include internship experience or experience outside of US standard

  • Previous project management experience for commercial workplace projects is required

  • Knowledge of materials, furnishings and construction methods related to interior architecture

  • Knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements

  • Corporate workplace interiors experience required

  • Experience writing and negotiating contracts for services, consultants and contractors

  • Ability to resolve contract and administration issues within the established design context

  • Ability to communicate effectively, manage and lead team members internally and externally with all levels of staff

  • Proficiency/understanding in use of Revit highly preferred

  • Must be local and willing to commute to office

  • Must have valid work authorization
