Responsibilities:
Ensure the timely and accurate execution of the global closing process, planning process and payment processing by coordinating, monitoring, and identifying and resolving issues.
Address and resolve all issues raised from the CFO community.
Support the production of information for management and financial reporting, using SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Analysis for Office.
Support Finance stakeholders in making best use of the available reporting capabilities.
Execute and/or contribute to the execution of governance processes for Finance Solutions.
Support financial audits with the necessary reports and process documentation from financial systems.
Review the audit findings that relate to the financial applications and processes, identifying possible courses of action to address findings.
Collaboration with stakeholders to implement steps to mitigate issues.
Contribute as Finance specialist in agile release trains and other projects and initiatives.
Work with local and global CFO teams to assess as-is process and system flow, develop/document business requirements, ensure understanding between the company's functions, lead testing, facilitate sign off from CFO unit and ensure implementation and execution of features or other project deliverables.
Support the development of financial applications and process landscape in close collaboration with the local and global CFO community, IT, process management and Group functions.
Harmonize, document and implement Finance related processes, based on sound analysis of various inputs from the different Finance teams and other sources.
Regularly update and review process flows and procedures related to Financial Solutions North America as needed.
Participate in process improvement initiatives within North America and the Global Finance community, and assure consistency across multiple areas.
Support the root cause analysis of data quality issues by analysing data, processes, and data flows.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proven experience in Finance and/or Insurance (ideally P& C) as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group (consolidation processes, legal vs management view) allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting;
Experience working on teams and projects in an international and dynamic environment;
Proven process analysis and documentation experience;
Financial systems knowledge (e.g., SAP FI, SAP BW, SAP SAC, SAP AfO, and/or Global Genius);
Excel and PowerPoint skills to effectively analyze data and convey messages in a winning fashion;
Experience developing and implementing solutions from complex stakeholder requirements;
Understanding of data modeling, operations and technical workflows with regards to financial reporting and closing operations;
IT understanding (e.g., systems, reporting tools, resolution of production Issues, troubleshooting, and cycles);
Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g., ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distil key issues and provide insight in various situations;
Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate issues that can be abstract/ambiguous and follow through on their remediation;
Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively with respect to the (both verbally and in writing);
Ability to manage small projects including milestone and task planning, controlling, monitoring, and reporting; and
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or IT.
