How will you make a difference?

This role will support CPKC customer accounts and will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet account/business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within finance, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

• What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Finance

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer account finance or supply chain/operations finance working with key stakeholders

• Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues

• Partnered and worked closely with customer or commercial groups

• Experience working in a cross functional or matrix environment

• Established analytical and project management ability with a simplification / automation / digitization mindset

What will your typical day look like?

• Support the CPKC Finance Manager & serve as a business partner to the account team, including operating and commercial teams, to drive business initiatives, growth, and profitability

• Partner with the account team to drive operating performance and act as champion for billing initiatives, cost optimization, productivity, inventory accuracy & utilization

• Support the CPKC Finance Manager on estimates, operating plans, forecasts for quarters & STRAP growth period, and analyze variances to forecasts and determine key actions to achieve such forecasts.

• Develop tools that simplify financial forecasting that can be leveraged across the business

• Partner with shared services team (Global Operations Finance) to support back-end financial processes, including billing reconciliations, account reconciliations and manual journal entries

• Drive a mindset of process simplification, digitization and automation within the Services business and finance organizations through expanded use of BI, OBIEE and other tools

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
