Join Pinpoint Precision Engineering as aResident Engineerand take charge of our projects. You will ensure our projects are delivered with precision, on time, and within budget, while mentoring and developing the teams emerging talent.
Heres What Your Day to Day Looks Like:
Supervise construction on highway and/or roadway projects.
Maintain accurate records and reports related to the project.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate with contractors and negotiate change orders.
Be the key contact with the client and subconsultants.
Monitor progress against the construction schedule.
Review the Contractors progress reports, and inform the Project Manager and client in case of delay.
Direct, assist, and monitor the performance of Construction Inspection and office engineers.
Oversee field site activities and provide technical advice on construction and design.
Discuss deviations from specified construction materials and procedures with Engineer-In-Charge.
Regularly review and approve contract submittals and payment applications to contractors.
Participate in contract close-out activities.
Conduct regular progress meetings with the contractor and appropriate personnel and report on any issues, as necessary.
Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, Tollway, and other agencies systems and operations.\ \
Youll be a great fit if you have this:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. Masters Degree is a plus.
5+ years of Inspection experience in bridge, highway, and roadway projects.
Current Illinois Professional Engineer licenserequired.
Current Documentation of Quantities Certificationis a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret contract documents, construction plans, and specifications.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to effectively manage project team members.
Must be very organized and have effective problem-solving, leadership, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects/deadlines.
Experience with project pursuits and proposalsis a plus.

Compensation:
The compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skill set, and physical work location
