THE OPPORTUNITY:
This remote opportunity is an existing vacancy open to candidates residing anywhere in the United States or Canada.
As an Associate Mid Market Account Manager at VelocityEHS, you will play a vital role in managing and growing relationships with mid-market customers. VelocityEHS provides best-in-class Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) software solutions to help organizations manage compliance, streamline processes, and enhance sustainability practices. In this role, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs, address any concerns, and provide guidance on how VelocityEHS solutions can best meet their requirements. Your primary focus will be to cultivate long-term customer relationships, drive revenue growth, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with mid-market customers by serving as their primary point of contact. Understand their business goals, objectives, and challenges to proactively identify opportunities for enhancing their use of VelocityEHS software solutions.
- Customer Engagement: Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews with customers to assess satisfaction, identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling, and ensure they are maximizing the value of VelocityEHS products. Provide guidance and recommendations on best practices for utilizing the software to achieve their EHS and ESG goals.
- Sales: Collaborate with internal teams to support the expansion of existing accounts. Assist in identifying opportunities for product upgrades, additional user licenses, or upselling new solutions. Provide accurate and timely information to internal teams regarding customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends. Limited potential travel for onsite visits with customers or prospects.
- Solution Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of VelocityEHS software solutions, including their features, functionality, and technical aspects. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging EHS and ESG practices to effectively advise customers on how to leverage VelocityEHS solutions to meet their evolving needs.
- Issue Resolution: Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to address and resolve any issues or concerns. Collaborate with technical support, product management, and implementation teams to ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries or problems, and provide regular updates to customers regarding the status of their requests.
- Customer Success: Drive customer success by ensuring a positive onboarding experience. Advocate for customers internally, working to improve product features, usability, and customer experience based on feedback and insights gathered from customer interactions.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, activities, and progress in the CRM system. Utilize tech stack to provide visibility on account health, revenue forecasts, and key performance indicators to management and other stakeholders.
- Continuous Learning: Continuously enhance product knowledge and industry expertise through training programs, self-study, and participation in relevant conferences or webinars. Share acquired knowledge and insights with the broader team to contribute to the overall growth and success of VelocityEHS.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
- 1-3 years of closing, quota-carrying, sales experience
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in sales, business, environmental science, engineering or a related field.
- Prior experience in account management, customer success, or sales in the software industry, preferably in the EHS or ESG domain.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proactive mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple customer accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of EHS and ESG regulations, best practices, and industry trends is a plus.
- Proficiency in using Tech Stack enablement tools, such as Salesforce, Outreach and Kaia
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
