What you'll be doing

As a member of the Frontline Tools and Enablement Team, the Area Product Owner works closely with the Product Owners to align product visions and roadmaps. You will work with internal stakeholders to identify, design, and prioritize product capabilities and improvements. You will collaborate with other Area Product Owners, Data Domain Leads, Technical Leads, Developers and third-party vendors to bring the product vision to life and deliver exceptional value. This includes understanding the people, process, technology and data required to execute on the strategy

How you'll succeed

  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements, document product specification and setting, and update roadmaps to achieve the business needs.

  • Build Strong Relationships - Collaborates with other Product Owners, Data Management, Technology and Vendors to assure complete understanding of Product functionality and interdependencies.

  • Solution Design - work closely with Product Owners to develop and communicate product vision and roadmap. Ensure each iteration delivers expected results and adds defined value.

  • Leading and Mentoring – become a Product Subject Matter Expert (SME) capable of guiding Users through onboarding, training and daily application usage requirements. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems..

  • Organization - Oversee requests from various stakeholders and thoughtfully create and/or edit a wide variety of presentation and communication materials (e.g. key messages, communication plans, tactical deliverables, presentations etc.). Create and maintain user resource documents on product SharePoint sites.

  • Communication - Superior interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to convey or present factual and conceptual information on issues which require detailed explanation and interpretation.

  • Product Support - Assist users with daily issues and log feedback for FAQ documentation and/or to be incorporated into future product enhancements.

Who you are

  • You have a degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Project Management and/or a related field, and you’ve spent at least 4+ years leading products or projects and designing solutions. It’s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies, and Application and/or Architecture Development.

  • You have knowledge of the financial services industry, ideally Commercial banking.

  • You have working knowledge of financial product concepts and calculations (amortization, accrued income, expected income, yields).
