BANK BUILDING CORPORATION, DBA NEWGROUND Architectural Specialist II in Chesterfield, Missouri
Assist in the preparation of architectural construction documents. This position will also coordinate activities including the work of mechanical, electrical and interior departments as well as outsource consultants such as structural, civil, etc.
GENERAL SKILLS
Thorough knowledge of building codes
Strong organization and communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficient in Revit and AutoCad
Proficient with two years of experience with Revit
Proficiency in Speclink preferred
Proficiency in Procore
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare working drawings
Coordinate with the Design Architect on the design of the project.
Participate in client design meetings
Prepare clarification of project development documents
Coordinate with local project AHJs
Assist in preparation of Contract Change Orders
Assist checking shop drawings
Make field trips as necessary to verify information
Coordinate with engineering and specifications
Assist in the preparation in specifications
Be knowledgeable on application of building regulations to projects
Function as detailer to the extent necessary to complete projects on schedule and within budget
Perform all other related work, as assigned or as apparent
EXPECTATIONS
Travel as required (up to 10%)
Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and with other disciplines
Strong passion for construction documents and detailing a building, preferably, multi-story
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES
Masters degree in Architecture
Architectural Specialist or similar position
24 months of Revit experience
Architectural License preferred
LEED accreditation preferred
Retail, hospitality, or financial design experience preferred, but not required
